Intensives

EMDR/IFS Intensives

Deep, focused trauma work in a condensed format — for high-functioning adults who want real movement without stretching it across a year of weekly sessions. Always delivered as a complete package: careful preparation, concentrated

Who are intensives for

You've done therapy and understand your patterns — and under pressure you still react from the same old place.

You want to give one experience or theme dedicated, focused time, instead of a few minutes at the end of a weekly hour.

Weekly therapy doesn't fit your calendar, your travel, or your life — or you're simply ready to concentrate the work.

You want depth, and you want it done carefully rather than rushed.

When an intensive isn't the right starting point

Intensive work asks a great deal of the nervous system, so every intensive begins with screening and preparation to confirm it's the right fit and the right time. If you're in acute crisis or don't feel safe, an intensive isn't where we'd begin — please reach 988 or emergency care, and we'll help you find the right support. Sometimes the answer is "not yet," and that's part of doing this work safely.

How an intensive works

An intensive is never a single session sold on its own. It's a complete piece of work, in three phases.

Phase 1 — Preparation and stabilization. We map your history, build the internal resources and regulation the work requires, identify targets, and confirm readiness. Nothing is processed until the ground is steady.

Phase 2 — The intensive. Concentrated EMDR processing across a half-day, full-day, or multi-day format — paced to your nervous system, with deliberate closure at the end of each day and a telehealth safety plan in place.

Phase 3 — Integration and aftercare.

Why a package, not a single long session

The preparation and the integration are what make concentrated processing both safe and lasting. That wraparound is never stripped away. You're not booking a long appointment — you're completing a piece of work

Investment

EMDR intensives are a premium, private-pay offering, priced as a complete package — preparation, concentrated processing, and integration together.

Half-day intensive — $1,250

Full-day intensive — $2,000

Multi-day intensive — designed to your needs

Payment plans are available, and superbills are provided for possible out-of-network reimbursement. A limited number of survivor-of-violence scholarship spots are held each season.

Who leads your intensive

Intensives are led by KimMarie Kearns-Vinal, LICSW, M.Ed. — EMDRIA-certified, IFS-trained, and somatically informed — with over a decade of work focused on trauma in high-functioning adults

Getting started

Every intensive begins with a consultation and screening to confirm fit and timing. You'll always reach a person, and 988 is available any time.
